The eXemplify team recently hosted a networking event on SD-WAN with our partners at Granite Telecommunications. Check out this recap of the event, written by Granite’s Sales & Marketing Manager, Lauren Grenier, to learn more!
Traveling to Dallas is one of our team’s favorite destinations. We had the opportunity to be in the area hosting an event with Exemplify for the first preseason ‘Hall of Fame’ game at Henry’s Tavern in Legacy Place. We came together to talk about the buzz word in telecom today, SD-WAN. Led by our SD-WAN man of expertise, Mark Palmer, we were able to add a few pictures of Tom Brady with his champion rings, but I digress…
As we did a live stream of the event via Periscope ( @GraniteChannels – Twitter ) hands were being raised throughout the presentation. ‘What exactly is SD-WAN?’, ‘How will Granite integrate SD-WAN in their platform?’, ‘Is SD-WAN a fad?’
All valid questions.
In a back room of 20 people, our Granite team led the discussion about SD-WAN and dug into what exactly SD-WAN is, keeping an open floor of discussion for other interpretations. As our Granite team noted, “The emergence of SD-WAN is shifting the market away from leased secure networking technologies to the more cost effective dedicated internet and broadband internet connection.”
Our team wants to continue to move forward with the moving technology in telecom, but we cannot forget that POTS has built our company to where it is today. Mark Palmer dived into the specifics:
“Granite’s SD-WAN offerings create a menu of options aimed at providing a solution that meets the customers’ business needs. A Solutions Engineer will be able to highlight the differences but they all have the following in common: orchestration to allow for cloud-based implementations/changes, multiple WAN links in active/active architecture and using analytics to prioritize critical business needs.”
This gives our agents a company their clients can benefit from. Having a one-stop-shop at Granite for all their telecom needs provides our team with an opportunity to implement and support every aspect of deployment, no matter the size or complexity.
In conclusion of our event, filled with great food, drink, and the start of football on the way, the Exemplify team couldn’t have put together a better event for us to present new products coming from Granite. We are looking to hold another event later this year, and will have some more breaking news and products to deliver to you!
