SD-WAN is growing as an integral part of providers’ technology solutions for the enterprise. As businesses with multiple locations and other network needs look to SD-WAN to centralize their networks, providers are stepping up to the plate. Transbeam is one such provider, and we sat down with Peter Karoczkai, Executive Vice President of Transbeam, to talk about how the technologies of the future are shifting the Channel today.
Robert: What are some prominent successes Transbeam has had over the last year?
Peter: At Transbeam, we’ve had a number of successes over the past year. Most importantly, we launched our newest product, SD-WAN, in January. This product has revolutionized what we can offer to medium-to-enterprise-size companies, allowing them more flexibility, faster deployment, and better monitoring options. In addition to a successful launch, we’ve won a number of exciting awards and have been placed on a few prestigious lists including: SmartCEO’s Corporate Culture, 2017CRN MSP500, 2016 Visionary Spotlight Award, and 2016 Internet Telephony’s Product of the Year for our Intelligent Network Monitoring solution. It’s been a pretty exciting year.
Robert: Are there any emerging technologies you see affecting your business in the years to come?
Peter: For us, SD-WAN is currently a huge focus, given that it’s our newest product release and has buzz around it. We’re in the process of educating our internal staff, agents, and even clients on all the benefits this service can provide them. In the future, the introduction of 5G wireless is obviously a big topic that could affect the way we do business and the services we provide.
Robert: How do you see cloud continuing to change the world of telecom and IT, and how does Transbeam approach these changes?
Peter: The growth of cloud comes with a few different concerns from the end user, including bandwidth control, security, and application monitoring. Transbeam aids all of the above with our Intelligent Network Monitoring solution, which is included with all of our data services.
Robert: Any trends in telecom you think will take over in the next few years?
Peter: With the implementation of 5G, fixed wireless could be getting a serious boost over the next couple years.
Robert: What makes Transbeam stand out from its competition?
Peter: At Transbeam we’re known for our reliability and “customer first” approach. You can speak to any of our legacy customers and they’ll tell you that what they appreciate most about working with us is the reliability of our network, and our dedication to taking care of any problem that arises in a time-effective manner. We have a 24/7 NOC support team there to answer any technical questions, and a customer service team that cares about ensuring customer satisfaction.
Robert: What can we expect to see from Transbeam in 2017? Any developments you can speak to?
Peter: Right now, our focus is on expanding the adoption of our SD-WAN service. Behind the scenes, we are working on implementing a number of new additions to both our data and voice services, including UCaaS and a few other surprises.
Robert: What’s new with Transbeam’s Channel Partner program?
Peter: In 2017, Transbeam has moved away from our traditional Direct Sales approach and transitioned to a Channel Partner focus. We have a lot of new incentives and events coming up throughout the year across the country, including training events, launch parties, new SPIFFs, and more. I definitely encourage agents to get in touch with their Channel master to get more information.
Robert: The Vegas Channel Show is coming up. Do you have anything special planned for partners?
Peter: Transbeam will be hosting a cocktail party during the Vegas Channel Show. Once we have more information, we’ll be releasing it to all of our partners. We hope to see everyone there!
Robert: If you could give Channel Partners one piece of advice to be successful, what would it be?
Peter: Be engaged. Whether it’s with the client, your Channel master, or the engineering departments. Providing us with consistent updates and feedback helps us understand how to better assist you. Communication and follow-up is key.
